CUBE NAVIGATOR
DEMO INSTALLATION GUIDE

1. PREPARATION

Select location

A workstation in the same room as the CT‘s control workstation, ideally already running a PACS viewer

Download file

Download the software installer (.zip file)

START DOWNLOAD

Get license

2. INSTALLATION

Before installing Cube Navigator, make sure to install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (Find more information about Microsoft Visual C++ here)
Open the zip file containing the software and execute the installer CubeNavigator_Setup*.exe
* version number (download always contains the latest installer)
Run the installation as an administrator
Agree to license terms

When selecting the installation location, copy and paste the file path: C:\Users\Public\cubenavigator into the file location box
Alternatively, create a new folder in the C:\Users\Public directory, called ‘cubenavigator’, and select this

Click ‘Install’ to finalize setup
When you run the software for the first time, right click on the program icon and choose ‘Run as Administrator’ and allow changes to be made.
After this step, Cube Navigator can be opened clicking on the program icon in normal mode

In case the software was not run as administrator the first time, the Defender Firewall will request that you allow access to the program for nginx and Cube Navigator. Click on ‘Allow Access’

3. REGISTRATION

Software registration is handled through the Softneta medDream server.

To register your license key, navigate to the DICOM tab. Default user credentials will be pre-loaded in the User and Password field. Leaving those unchanged, click the Login button.

Click ‘Register’ on the popup message.

You will be prompted to enter your license key. License keys are communicated to new customers directly from Medical Templates, usually via email.

Please contact us at support@medicaltemplates.ch if you do not know your license key.

Otherwise, enter it here in the Serial box, read and agree to the EULA, and click the ‘Register’ button.

4. CONFIGURING THE PACS SERVER CONNECTION

To connect to your institution’s PACS Server, navigate to the Config tab and enter your Server’s Application Entity Title, IP address, and Port.

On the PACS instance, the following standard configurations are required by the PACS system to establish DICOM Query/Retrieve (QR) communication between the PACS system and Cube Navigator:

AE Title: MEDDREAMQR
IP: The IP address of the machine on which Cube Navigator is installed
Port: 11116

Check the connection using the Test button.
