THE CUBE NAVIGATION SYSTEM

Navigate with Ease

An innovative navigation system for the precise alignment of needles and other thin instrument in imaged guided punctures. The Cube Navigation System uses easy-to-use, single-use, sterile instrument guides, the Cubes, made intelligent by the power of our proprietary software and image recognition algorithms.

The system consists of our planning software, which is used to plan the intervention while our algorithm suggests the optimal entry points on our patented Cube accessories.

This easy to use and adopt navigation system supports radiologists in image guided interventions using needles and thin instruments to increase accuracy of such interventions. Double oblique and complex trajectories in particular become easier to perform and more efficient compared to interventions with and without navigation.

The Cube Navigation System currently works across CTs from all vendors. Other imaging modalities will soon be added. We are positioned to revolutionize CT- and other image controlled interventions.

PLANNING SOFTWARE

The heart and brain of the CNS is our planning software. Based on a standard PACS viewer, it can be easily installed on a PC in the CT room and connected to the CT via standard DICOM interface - compatible with every CT and PACS system. It features a virtual needle (yellow line in image) to plan the intervention. Based on the position of the virtual needle, our proprietary algorithm calculates the best coordinates to use in the Cube's upper and lower template planes - instantly. Moreover, the software automatically corrects the needle path minimally to place the path of the virtual needle to the corners of the holes, to allow a stable and exact insertion of the puncture needle.

ACCESS CUBE

The latest addition to the Cube Navigation System, the Access Cube is designed to guide needles and thin instruments up to 10G and therefore can be used for a large range of minimally-invasive interventions. Complex procedures like ablations, biopsies, and placement of drainage tubes, even with difficult trajectories, can be performed with high accuracy and planning reliability.

With removable grids, the Access Cube allows for full access to the field of intervention, giving the user optimal control and functionality.

PUNCTURE CUBE

Designed for pain therapy interventions, the Puncture Cube ensures effective pain treatment by bringing the needle precisely to the target injection site. Supporting needle sizes 18-22G, the Puncture Cube is an easy to use needle alignment tool in CT-guided punctures. Once the needle has been inserted securely, the Puncture Cube can be collapsed, allowing the interventionist to perform slight adjustments or reach deep targets.

With the Puncture Cube, the active substance can be administered precisely, faster, with fewer control scans and with more consistent results.

HOW IT WORKS

ablauf_weiss_lila-07.png
1. PLACE

Place the Cube over target region of the intervention. Attach firmly using the adhesive pads on the feet

ablauf_weiss_lila-08.png
2. SCAN

Scan the target area with a standard planning scan

3. DETECT

The software detects the cube automatically in the planning scan images

4. PLAN

Use the virtual needle in the software to create a trajectory. The software calculates the best entry points on the Cube to reach the target

5. PERFORM

Move the needle through the holes on the upper and lower plate of the Cube as highlighted by the software and perform the puncture
