NAVIGATE WITH EASE

The Cube Navigation System simplifies CT-guided interventions  - even for double oblique access routes

Our smart navigation solution for image guided interventions using thin instruments is revolutionizing how complex procedures can be performed - improving accuracy and efficiency with an easy-to-use and adopt solution.

Solution: Welcome

HOW WE REVOLUTIONIZE IMAGE GUIDED INTERVENTIONS

Image guided navigation of thin instruments is commonly done in a trial & error free-hand fashion, yet accuracy of needle placement is a critical step for the success of image-guided percutaneous interventions. Inaccurate needle placement can lead to prolonged procedures, unwarranted radiation exposure due to additional control scans, adverse events, or failures such as non-diagnostic biopsy samples or insufficient treatment.

The Medical Templates Cube Navigation System (CNS) provides radiologists with guidance for such procedures. It combines intelligent planning software with a single use, sterile guidance device. A simple, revolutionary solution for image guided interventions – currently compatible with all CT modalities, with C-arms and other imaging modalities soon to follow.

WHY USE THE CUBE NAVIGATION SYSTEM?

INCREASE ACCURACY

Accurate needle placement means shorter procedures, less risk of complications and adverse events, and more successful treatments. Use of the CNS has demonstrated improved accuracy for both single and double oblique access routes. Read more

IMPROVE EFFICIENCY

With no setup or calibration time, using the CNS doesn't add any additional time to a procedure. In fact, studies have shown that the overall procedure time can be substantially reduced by 15-45% when using the CNS with the Puncture or Access Cube. Furthermore, procedure time less variable, making CT scheduling easier. Read more

FEWER SCANS

Inaccurate needle placement can lead to unwarranted radiation exposure. Studies have shown that using the CNS can reduce the number of control scans by improving the accuracy of an intervention, especially for complex and double oblique punctures. Read more

CONVINCING RESULTS

RESULT

  • Use of the CNS vs. conventional free-hand procedure resulted in statistically significant improved accuracy (3.4 mm ± 2.3 mm vs. FHM 4.9 mm ± 3.2 mm)

  • Overall lower intervention time (168 s ± 28.5 s vs. FHM 200 s ± 44.8 s)

  • Reduced number of CT scans  (2.3 vs. FHM 2.8)

PHANTOM STUDY SUMMARY

  • Freehand vs. CNS with Puncture Cube - 72 Punctures, 36 per method

  • Single & double oblique targets at 5 & 10 cm depth

  • Variables: Error - distance to target; Time - total procedure time; Number of control scans

APPLICATION AREAS OF THE CUBE NAVIGATION SYSTEM (CNS)

PAIN THERAPY

icnos-02.png

In pain treatment, hitting the target perfectly to inject the drug is paramount. The CNS with the Puncture Cube helps you to deliver with precision: faster, with fewer control scans and more consistent results.  Compatible with needles 18-22G.

NEEDLE BIOPSIES

icnos-01.png

For a successful needle biopsy, reaching the target site – be it a lesion or nodule – is key for a correct diagnosis and effective treatment. The CNS in combination with the Access Cube not only helps to navigate the needle with millimeter precision, but also holds it in place once it is inserted. And because double oblique access paths are just as easy, you can really choose the access that is best for the patient.

INTERVENTIONAL ONCOLOGY

icnos-03.png

Be it RF & microwave ablations, cryotherapy, laser induced thermotherapy, irreversible electroporation or vertebroplasties – the CNS and Access Cube helps get tools to the target site and keep them there during the procedure. Compatible with thin instruments 10-20G.
